DAY 1 SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH, 2018 ARRIVE DUBLIN NOTE: Please have flights arrive by noon to ensure you will be able to attend the Dublin city tour. Dublin offers a fine introduction to Georgian mansions, with wide streets and spacious squares. You’ll pass the Customs House on the north bank of the River Liffey and many mid-18th- century public buildings back in Dublin’s Southside, including Trinity College where you will visit the library that holds the famous Book of Kells—a hand-illuminated manuscript of the Gospels. This evening, we’ll visit Epic Ireland, an authentic and epic story of 10 million journeys and the roots of 70 million people, told with memorable style and passion. DAY 2 MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH, 2018 BELFAST CITY TOUR Meet a local guide for a living history tour through Belfast, which takes you through the landmarks that have played their part in the city’s colorful development. During the course of the tour, you will see many well-known features of the city including City Hall, Queens University, Ulster Museum, Botanic Gardens and Albert Clock. After, visit the impressive Titanic Museum which extends over nine galleries, with multiple dimensions to the exhibition, full-scale reconstructions and interactive features to explore the Titanic story in a fresh and insightful way. Tonight, we enjoy a fish and chip supper at John Longs, Belfast’s longest established fish and chip shop. Next enjoy a drink or 2 in a traditional pub. DAY 3 TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH, 2018 GIANT’S CAUSEWAY EXCURSION Your journey brings you to the Giants’ Causeway, where for centuries, visitors have marveled at its majesty and mystery. The unique rock formations have, for millions of years, stood as a natural rampart against the unbridled ferocity of the Atlantic storms and the rugged symmetry of the columns never fail to intrigue and inspire. After, we’ll enjoy lunch at Bushmill’s Inn, originally a coaching Inn in the 1600’s, and this evening, we’ll enjoy a dinner hosted by the Hastings Hotel Group. DAY 4 WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH, 2018 DRUMCLIFF EXCURSION AND ASHORD CASTLE In County Sligo, bid your own farewell to W.B. Yeats, Ireland’s great poet, at quiet Drumcliff churchyard where his simple tombstone reads: “Cast a cold eye / On life, on death / Horseman, pass by!” This evening, we’ll dine like royalty and stay the night at Ashford Castle. Set alongside the glistening waters of Lough Corrib, Ashford dates back to 1228. It became the home of the Guinness family in mid 1800’s, and was transformed into a luxury hotel in 1939. DAY 5 THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH, 2018 GUINNESS STOREHOUSE EXCURSION Guinness originated in St James’s Gate, the heart of Dublin, where Arthur Guinness established his business in 1759. Nowadays, the fermentation plant at St. James’s Gate Brewery has been transformed and redeveloped so that you can experience how Guinness is produced from start to finish. The tour ends at the Gravity Bar for a tasting of the dark ale. Enjoy a farewell dinner this evening at a local pub, Nancy Hands. The interior features an authentic Victoria bar, an original staircase from Trinity College and a collection of rare Guinntiques describing a lifetime of Guinness advertising.
